MPG was established in 1963 when Dario Giardi embarked on an adventure with two friends using a small property which would evolve into the MPG tannery. By the mid 1970’s the production began to follow the demands of the fashion industry and modern technology investment allowed an increase of production.
Today Dario Giardi’s daughters run the tannery with a vision and commitment to satisfy their customers. Their knowledge and experience have been built since they were very little which has resulted in a very high quality veg tannery.
MPG are particularly attentive to its production process and guarantees the quality, ethics and traceability of their hides. The hides come from the best farms in France and thus generate high quality products. MPG are also part of the Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale – Genuine Italian Vegetable tanned Leather Consortium who regulate, protect and guarantee the production of vegetable tanned leather in the Tuscany region. They have also been audited and rated as Silver by the Leather Working Group.
